| ***Mutual Aid-Structure Fire***
At 15:24hrs in the afternoon on Memorial Day, Utility 12 our compressed breathing air truck was requested to assist the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association/Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters Local 2956 at the scene of a house fire on Maple Ave in the Town of Cortlandt.
Car 2552 and Utility 12 responded on the initial assignment and upon their arrival the 2nd alarm of fire was struck by the Incident Commander.
The 5 Buchanan Interior Firefighters operated multiple hose lines on scene, and helped mopped up the remaining pockets of fire on the interior, and surrounding brush.
While multiple BFD units operated at the 2nd alarm. Additional members staffed our headquarters to cover the Village of Buchanan. |
