Multiple Mutual Aid Requests

It has been a busy 24 hours for the volunteers of the Buchanan Engine Company.

Around 8:30PM Sunday, we were placed on standby as well as Verplanck FD in our quarters for Montrose FD, as they were dispatched to a reported structure fire. At 8:49 a second alarm was transmitted. Utility 12 and Car 2552 responded with a crew of six interior firefighters. Later into the incident our UTV, Utility 162 was requested to the scene for multiple brush fires in the area. Out bus Utility 4 was also requested to the scene for rehab for the firefighters on scene. 2551 and 2 firefighters handled this request. Members operated for around seven hours.

Around 4:33 AM Sunday, our Engine 160 was requested back to the scene of the fire for a rekindle. 2551, 2552 and a crew of five interior firefighters handled this request. Members operated for around three hours.

Around 10:37 AM Sunday, Utility 12 was requested the the scene of a structure fire in the Continental Village Fire District. 2552 and a crew of three interior firefighters handled this request. Additional members stood by in our headquarters to cover our district.

Around 2:18 PM Sunday, We were requested to go on standby in our quarters as Montrose FD operated at the scene of the structure fire to soak additional hot spots.

Around 2:40 PM Sunday, Utility 12 was requested to the scene of a structure fire in the Lake Mohegan Fire District. Car 2552 and a crew of three firefighters handled this request. Upon arrival units were placed back in service. While handling this request additional members were standing by handling the original request for Montrose FD.

Around 8:42 PM Sunday, We were requested to go on standby for Verplanck FD as they operated at a reported structure fire.
