Westchester County Fallen Firefighters Memorial
By Assistant Chief Reed Outhouse
October 30, 2017

The driving rain and wind did not keep firefighters and officials from all over Westchester from attending the annual fallen firefighters memorial service. On this somber day we continue our pledge to our fallen brothers that they never be forgotten. It is especially important for our department to be there as we have a member is honored on the memorial and whose name is read off each year. On September 12, 1961 Chief Carl Aschenbrenner passed away after becoming ill while operating at a structure fire on Seward Street. We will forever remember the sacrifice our brothers gave in the line of duty.
