At 1336 hours today we were dispatched to a mutual aid request to Continental Village Fire Dept. for a brush fire at Camp Smith. Cars 2551, 2552, Utility 161 and UTV Utility 162 responded with a full crew and went to work. A full crew remained in headquarters. Westchester County Police Aviation assisted with water drops and observation from their helicopter. Other depts on the scene were Westchester County DES Batallion 17, Garrison, North Highlands, Putnam Valley and Peekskill EMS. The terrain and elevation made operations difficult and 7.5 hours later we were calling it a night after the majority of the fire was knocked down
